Folding for fine motor

Using origami as an occupational therapy tool
Occupational therapy uses a variety of different activities to build the skills and strengths necessary to complete daily tasks.

Origami develops many of the same skills that occupational therapists target, especially in young children,  including visual-perceptual skills, fine motor skills, coordination, focus, patience, perseverance, and following directions.

By using origami, one can work on these essential skills in a fun and rewarding manner, while creating a work of art!
